The Corporate Responsibility Group of Greater Chicago was founded in 1973 to enhance awareness of corporate social responsibility issues. Through its programs and other community activities, the CR Group works to advance the civic involvement of area businesses, strengthen the resources available to public affairs and issues management professionals, and increase opportunities for dialogue among concerned citizens. Each year, the CR Group presents programs featuring prominent speakers and leaders, who address topics of major concern on a local and national basis. As the business environment faces constant change and challenge, the CR Group is committed to providing a format that is stimulating, engaging, and informative. CR Group offers a forum for dialogue about the intersection of business and society. The CR Group is unique among organizations addressing issues of ethical and socially responsible corporate conduct because it originated within and was created for the business community.
